- 911 Centers and Call centers receive a huge call volume and each of those calls is  recorded and stored. This requires terra bytes of memory space if every call has to be recorded in uncompressed format. MASC compresses uncompressed wave files to up to 22 times smaller, reducing the cost of spending thousands of dollars on hardware memory. Also, MASC has unique indexing abilities present within headers, which allows users to easily search and retrieve voice files based on the information contained on the indexable headers.
