ACM Codec The Vianix MASC ACM Codec is a plug-in solution for all x86 (Windows 2000, Windows XP) and Windows Mobile platforms ranging from Desktops, to notebooks to Pocket PC’s/PDAs. This plug-in solution allows users to record / encode voice files using MASC with the Windows / Windows Mobile based Sound Recorder / Notes applications, and can play back / decode the MASC files using players such as Windows Media Player. Contact Vianix for more Information Vianix MASC SDK The Vianix MASC SDK provides MASC speech compression/decompression and MCF (MASC Compressed Format) functionality for PocketPC (Windows Mobile) and x86 (Windows 2000, Windows XP) platforms. Functions such as rewind, playback, pause, forward, stop, record (insert mode), record (overwrite mode), Go To Position, Open File, Save file can easily in instantiated via the SDK through the API classes. The Vianix MASC SDK also consists of detailed API level examples both in C and VB.NET. API examples are explained in detail giving scenarios of how such features can be built. The SDK can also be used to create SFX (self-extracting) MCF files. When launched, SFX MCF file downloads Vianix Player, extracts MCF data from itself and sends the data for playback using Vianix Player. The Vianix Player allows users to play *.mcf along with converting those files into *.wav (WAV files). The Vianix player is also capable of playing back *.wav files.
